Clinical observation of 46 cases of hysteromyoma treated by Western medicine combined with Schaefer soup

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of western medicine combined with Schaefer soup on uterine fibroids. Methods The clinical data of 88 patients with uterine fibroids admitted to Yello River Sanmenxia Hospital from January 2019 to March 2020 were collected. The data of 42 patients treated with conventional western medicine were included in the control group, and the data of 46 patients treated with Schaefer soup plus conventional western medicine were included in the observation group. After 3 months of treatment, the fibroid volume, estradiol(E2) level, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the fibroid volume in both groups decreased compared with that before treatment, and that of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05). After treatment, the E2 levels in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and that of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 4.35%(2/46), compared with that [9.52%(4/42)] in the control group, the difference was not significant(P>0.05). Conclusions Western medicine combined with Schaefer soup can effectively reduce the size of uterine fibroids and reduce the E2 level, without increasing the incidence of adverse reactions, with good safety.
