Abstract:Objective To study the effect of the systematic respiratory rehabilitation training on the pulmonary function and respiratory indicators of patients with asthma-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease overlap syndrome(ACOS). Methods Totally 102 patients with ACOS admitted to our hospital between May 2019 and October 2020 were selected, and divided into a control group(n=51) and a study group(n=51) according to a random number table. Both groups received routine nursing, while the study group was additionally provided with the systematic respiratory rehabilitation training. The lung and respiratory function the two groups were compared before and after the intervention. Results After the intervention, the pulmonary and respiratory indexes of the study group were significantly better than those of the control group (P<0.05 for all). Moreover, the dyspnea of the study group was significantly milder than that of the control group (Z=-2.996, P=0.003). Conclusion For ACOS patients, systemic respiratory rehabilitation training can significantly reduce their airway resistance indexes, improve their lung function and relieve their dyspnea.
