Objective： Explore the function of geriatric nurse specialist as nursing team leader in nurse grading management. Methods： The following tasks that geriatric nurse specialist as nursing team leader conducted were analyzed, such as undertaking special nursing rounds, developing guidelines for special nursingi carrying out diversification health education, providing training for nurses at all levels and the verification of clinical care, creating team culture sections and the implementation of writing instruments on special nursing. Results： The nurse specialist as nursing team leader improved the quality of special nursing and enriched the theoretical knowledge of nurses at all level by the way of grading management in Geriatrics Department.
