| Abstract: | Although erythromycin frequently induces long QT interval and torsade de pointes, the newer drug, azithromycin, has rarely been reported to be associated with torsade de pointes. We report here the occurrence of a significant typical QT prolongation within a few hours after taking azithromycin which lead to torsade de pointes. |
