| Abstract: | Objective To evaluate the effect of endoscopic balloon dilation treatment on the quality of life (QOL) in patients with
common bile duct stones . Method EBD of the sphincter of Oddi and removal of the stones by balloon , basket and
mechanical lithotripcy were performed in 47 patients with common bile duct stones .The QOL of the patients before and after
the treatment was scaled . Result The success rate of EBD for the treatment of common bile duct stones was 91.5％ (43/47)
in our group . The scales of QOL in 89.3％ of patients after treatment were significant higher than before (p<0.05).
Conclusion EBD for the treatment of common bile duct stones are possible ,effective and safe . |
