鼻咽癌患者放疗期间症状困扰对生活的影响

目的探讨鼻咽癌患者放疗期间的症状困扰对生活的影响。方法选择2007年3月—2008年12月在复旦大学附属肿瘤医院接受放疗的鼻咽癌患者84例,应用MD安德森肿瘤中心头颈部肿瘤症状评估表(MDASI-H&N)对患者0～11周的症状困扰和对生活干扰程度进行调查,并对结果进行分析。结果患者在放疗期间,普遍存在症状困扰和对生活的干扰,0～7周间的症状困扰对生活干扰影响程度逐渐加重,差异有统计学意义(P<0.001),11周较7周前明显缓解,7周为测量周期中症状最为严重的时期。结论鼻咽癌患者在放疗期间存在着各种症状困扰,生活质量受到严重影响,护理人员要了解患者的不同症状,及时采取各种有效措施,有利于提高患者的生活质量。

Influence of symptom interference on quality of life among nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients during radiotherapy

Objective To investigate the influence of symptom interference on quality of life among nasopharyngeal carcinoma （NPC） patients during radiotherapy. Methods A total of 84 NPC patients who were receiving radiotherapy in our hospital were recruited from March 2007 to December 2008. M.D. Anderson Symptom Inventory-Head and Neck Module （MDASI-H＆N） was used to assess the patients＇ symptom severity and interference during 11 weeks. The results were analyzed. Results Results from MDASI-H＆N showed that NPC patients usually suffered from symptom interference during radiotherapy. Among all the patients, the degree of interference increased when symptom severity increased, and decreased when symptom severity decreased. The degree of symptom severity and interferene significantly increased from week 0 to week 7 （ P 〈 0. 001 ）, and peaked at week 7. At week 11 the degree of symptom severity and interferene decreased compared with that be- fore week 7. Conclusion The NPC patients during radiotherapy suffer from symptom interference which seriously affects their life quality. The nursing staff should understand the patients＇ symptom interference, and take effective intervention to improve their life quality
