Treating Sleep-breathing Disorder with Surgery: Review and Development

Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrome(OSAHS) is a kind of disease with multiple causes. Anatomical abnormalityof the upper airway was seemed as the main cause in most of the patients with OSAHS. Surgery of upper airway has become one important treatment method for OSAHS. This article has given a review from three aspects such as the mechanism, value, and indications of the surgery. Individual evaluation and surgery indication selection will have important influences on the effect.
