| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the current status and relating factors of soft skills among nursing students in clinical practice, so as to improve the soft skills of nursing students. Method A total of 311 nursing students from two affiliated hospitals of a medical university were investigated by the Nursing Soft Skills Scale. Results The mean score of nursing soft skills was （ 3.35 ± 0.27 ）. The dimension score of professionalism （ 3.50 ± 0.34） was the highest and the dimension score of organization management （ 3.24±0.37 ） was the lowest. The educational background of parents, class leader and rank of exam results were relating factors of soft skills （P 〈 0.05）. Conclusion The soft skills of nursing students are at upper middle level. It is suggested that the nursing schools and teaching hospitals should take measures to provide opportunity so as to further improve their soft skills. |
