Organ protective effects of parecoxib

Background Parecoxib sodium, the first selective cyclooxygenase （COX）-2 inhibitor for injection, has been proved tbat it can play a significant role in organ protection in different organ damage models. Objective To review the research status and Parecoxib＇s organ protective effects and provide guidance for its reasonable elinieal application in this field. Content In this review, we summarized the organ protective effects and safety of parecoxib. Trend Parecoxib has broad application prospects, but its specific application in clinical organ protection needs to be studied in depth and explored continuously.
