Expressions of miR-203 and survivin in condyloma acuminatum and their correlations with HPV typing

Objective To investigate the expression of microRNA-203(miR-203)and survivin in condyloma acuminatum(CA)and its correlation with human papillomavirus(HPV)typing.Methods 100 patients with CA admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Yangzhou University from June 2015 to June 2018 were selected as the CA group,and another 50 normal prepuce specimens undergoing circumcision as the control group.the expressions of miR-203 and survivin mRNA was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR,the expression of survivin was detected by immunohistochemistry,and the expressions of miR-203 and survivin in different groups and their correlation were observed.Results Among the 100 CA patients,90 cases(90.00%)were HPV positive,including 31 cases(34.44%)of high-risk type and 59 cases(65.56%)of low-risk type.The mRNA expression level of miR-203 in high-risk group was significantly lower than that in low-risk group and control group,and that in low-risk group was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).MRNA expression of survivin in high-risk group was higher than that in low-risk group and control group,and that in low-risk group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).The survivin positive rate in high-risk group was 70.97%,which was higher than that in low-risk group(40.68%)and control group(6.00%)(P<0.05).There was a negative correlation between miR-203 and survivin expression in the tissues of CA patients(P<0.05).Conclusions There was a low expression of miR-203 and a high expression of survivin in the tissues of patients with CA,and the expressions of the two were negatively correlated and correlated with HPV typing.
