IVF/ICSI assisted pregnancy outcomes in infertile women with unicornuate uterus:a Meta analysis

Objective To compare the differences in the clinical outcomes of unicornuate uterus and normal uterus of infertile patients who underwent in vitro fertilization(IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI)treatment.Methods This paper searched the databases of PubMed,Embase,Wed of Science,Cochrane,CNKI and Wanfang from the establishment to August 10,2019 to collect and compare the pregnancy outcomes of infertile patients who received IVF/ICSI assisted fertility treatment between unicornuate uterus and normal uterus,including pregnancy rate,abortion rate,ectopic pregnancy rate,etc.Literature was screened and analyzed,and RevMan 5.3 software was used for Meta analysis.Results Eventually six papers were enrolled as standard papers.The results show that compared with normal uterus group,pregnancy rate,live births rate,average delivery gestational age,term yield,the average weight of unicornuate uterus are all reduced,low birth weight cases,extremely low birth weight cases,abortion rate,and premature birth rate are all higher,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in clinical pregnancy rate,pregnancy duration rate,implantation rate and ectopic pregnancy rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Compared with normal uterine infertility,patients with unicornuate uterine infertility who treated with IVF/ICSI treatment were more prone to miscarriage,premature delivery and neonatal weight loss.
