Abstract:
Objective To understand the incidence of infection and the use of antibiotics in hospitalized patients in this hospital,in order to effectively prevent infection in patients with cancer and promote clinical use of antibiotics.Methods We collect clinical data of inpatients(gender,age,diagnosis,infection,WBC,CRP,PCT,temperature,bacterial culture and drug susceptibility,antibiotic dosage)in the oncology department from July 2018 to December 2018 in affiliated hospital of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and to analyze the infection causes and antibacterial drug habit.Results Infection occurred in 256 of 4788 hospitalized patients,with an infection rate of 5.35%;the main infection site is the lower respiratory tract,accounting for 35.16%,followed by the abdominal cavity,was accounting for 19.14%(49/256),urinary tract infection rate was 10.94%(28/256);the pathogens detected were mainly Gram-negative bacteria,accounting for 64.13%(59/92),among them,Klebsiella pneumonia;fungal account for 19.56%(18/92),Gram-positive bacteria accounted for the lowest proportion,16.13%(15/92);the main pathogens Klebsiella pneumonia and Escherichia coli have high resistance to penicillins;antibiotics used in cancer patients are up to three generations of cephalosporins,accounting for 36.91%(134/363),followed by quinolones,accounting for 14.60%(53/363).Conclusions Tumor patients with hospital infections are mainly Gram-negative bacteria,mostly lower respiratory or abdominal infections,and anti-infective treatment of drugs sensitive to Gram-negative bacteria can be empirically selected without clear pathogens.
