老年2型糖尿病患者血清胆红素水平与颈动脉粥样硬化程度的关系

目的：探讨老年2型糖尿病患者血清胆红素水平与颈动脉粥样硬化程度的关系。方法：选取2005年9月～2009年5月在南京医科大学第一附属医院老年医学科就诊的2型糖尿病患者98名，按照颈动脉粥样硬化斑块程度分为0级组、1级组、2级组、3级组，测定其血清胆红素水平，用统计学软件SPSS11．0进行比较。结果：2型糖尿病患者不同程度的斑块分组之间血清胆红素水平存在显著性差异，斑块3级组〈2级组〈1级组〈0级组（P〈0．05）。结论：老年2型糖尿病患者颈动脉粥样硬化斑块形成可能与低血清胆红素有关，血清胆红素可作为老年2型糖尿病患者颈动脉粥样硬化形成的新的实验室诊断指标，而血清胆红素与糖化血红蛋白二者无明显相关。

The inverse association of serum bilirubin with carotid atherosclerosis in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Objective:To explore the relationship between serum bilirubin and carotid atherosclerosis in elderly people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods:A cross-sectional study in 98 elderly patients with T2DM was performed in the department of geriatrics, the first affiliated hospital of Nanjing medical university from September 2005 to May 2009. They were divided into 4 groups according to the grade of the atheroma. Their serum bilirobin were measured and com-pared. The statistic was analysis by SPSS 11.0 for Windows. Results :In T2DM patients, atheroma score higher group had lower crude serum bilirubin concentrations compared with atheroma score lower group. The difference of serum bilirubin concentrations among atheroma subgroups was significant (P<0.05), score 3 group< score 2 group< score 1 group< score 0 group. The atheroma severity degree was inversely and significantly related to serum bilirubin concentrations.Conclu-sion:In elderly people with T2DM, the formation of carotid plaque might be related to low levels of serum bilirubin. We can indirectly assess the atherosclerosis in elderly patients with T2DM by testing serum bilirubin.
