| Abstract: | The present study demonstrates the existence of cholecystokinin-like immunoreactive (CCKI) neurons in the rat neostriatum. Light and electron microscopic findings suggest that these CCKI cells correspond to ‘medium-size aspiny neurons’ classified by Golgi studies. |
