橄榄油、凡士林乳膏及薄荷脑乳膏对老年干皮症患者皮肤屏障功能的影响

目的 探讨橄榄油、凡士林乳膏、薄荷脑乳膏3种产品对老年干皮症患者皮肤屏障功能的影响.方法 本研究为随机自身对照试验.32例干皮症患者双侧前臂标记4处空白区域,其中3处分别外用橄榄油、凡士林乳膏、薄荷脑乳膏,每日1次持续8周,1处设为空白对照.于第0、2、4、8周时检测皮肤角质层含水量、经表皮水分丢失(TEWL)值和pH值以评价皮肤屏障功能.结果 使用8周后,橄榄油组、凡士林乳膏组、薄荷脑乳膏组皮肤的角质层含水量均高于对照组,TEWL和pH值均低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P＜0.05).使用第0、2、4、8周时,3个实验组间角质层含水量、TEWL值和pH值的差异均无统计学意义.结论 外用橄榄油可改善老年干皮症患者皮肤屏障功能,凡士林乳膏、薄荷脑乳膏对于老年干皮症患者皮肤屏障功能也有修复作用.

Effect of topical olive oil, vaseline cream and menthol ointment on skin barrier function of patients with senile xerosis

Objectives To evaluate the effect of topical olive oil, vaseline and menthol ointment on skin barrier function of patients with senile xerosis. Methods 32 participants were enrolled in a randomized double-blind self-controlled study for 8 weeks. Four black square spaces were markd on bilateral forearms of the volunteers. Participants were examined at screening and then on a two-week basis (2w, 4w, 8w) after topical daily use of three prepared products, Olive oil, Vaseline and Menthol ointment. Skin barrier function evaluation includes the detection of water content of the stratum corneum,transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and skin pH. Results After application of the three tested products, for 8 weeks, there were significant decrease in TEWL value and pH value and there was a significant increase in the skin hydration in each group (P<0.05) , when compared to the control. After application of olive oil, for 2 weeks, there were no significant decrease in TEWL value and pH value, and there was no significant increase in the skin hydration, in each group(P>0.05). Conclusions Topical use of olive oil can improve the skin barrier function of xerosis. Vaseline, menthol ointment also have a protective effect.
