| Abstract: | Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a common and severe complication of diabetic microangiopathy. To a large extent, it causes irreversible damage to the visual function or complete blindness. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) plays an important role in the development of DR and in the process of retinal neovascularization. In this article we reviewed relations between VEGF and DR. |
