Abstract:	Purpose Fever of unknown origin (FUO) and unexplained signs of inflammation are challenging medical problems especially in children and predominantly caused by infections, malignancies or noninfectious inflammatory diseases. The aim of this study was to assess the diagnostic value of ¹⁸F-FDG PET and PET/CT in the diagnostic work-up in paediatric patients.
