天然药物作为治疗脓毒症的新选择

脓毒症(sepsis)是由感染因素导致的全身性炎症反应综合征(SIRS),是严重创伤患者的常见并发症,也是导致危重症病人死亡的第一因素。脓毒症目前治疗措施主要为早期使用抗生素和纠正缺血低氧性损害,并经验性使用糖皮质激素、胰岛素及免疫调节剂等,缺乏确切有效的药物。在我国,天然药物治疗脓毒症具有长期和有效的应用历史,在临床得以广泛使用,值得重视。本文现将有关情况介绍如下。

Herbal medicine: a novel approach for the treatment of sepsis

Sepsis,known as systemic inflammatory response syndrome（SIRS） triggered by infection,is a kind of common complication following trauma and the first risk factor for death of patients in intensive care unit.The treatment of sepsis remains challenging.Currently the main treating measures include improving ischemia and anoxemia injury,use of antibiotics,glucocorticosteroid,insulin or immunomodulator,but there were no effective therapies.Herbal medicine has been effectively used for the treatment of sepsis for millennia in China,and widely used in clinical practice.We should note and encourage a resurgence of interest in using herbal medicine.
