| Abstract: | We report a case of a 47-year-old woman found to have a rectal gastrointestinal stromal tumor discovered on routine pathological examination of the resected hemorrhoidal donut after a stapled hemorrhoidopexy. There was no evidence of metastatic spread. No further therapy will be instituted. |
