| Abstract: | There is a paucity of information about establishment of an animal model of controlled bacterial diffuse peritonitis , though a number of papers have been published on animal models of general peritonitis . The authors conducted an investigation into various factors involved in replication of this model . On condition that purebred animals ( Sprague - Dawley rats )and fixed E . coli and subspecies of Bacteroides fragilis are used with the first genera-tion from the culture bring propagated , so as to bring the number of the bacteria under control , it would be possible to establish an animal model of bacterial acute diffuse peritonitis with a controlled motality rate of 80%-90%. |
