1,3-Thiazines, XIII: Reactions of 4-Oxo-2-thioxo- and 2,4-Dioxo-tetrahydro-1,3-thiazines with some Nucleophiles, II . 4-Oxo-2-thioxo- and 2,4-dioxo-tetrahydro-1,3-thiazines 1 and 2 were reacted with nitrogen bases, the basicity of which influenced the nature of the products. Nucleophilic attack occurred first at carbon 4 of 1 and 2 and in some cases was followed by attack at carbon 2.
