Clinical Study on Bushen Tongluo Tang Combined with Irbesartan Tablets for Stage 2~3 Chronic Kidney Disease

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Bushen Tongluo tang combined with irbesartan tablets on stage 2~3 chronic kidney disease(CKD),and its effect on quality of life and exercise endurance of patients.Methods:A total of 86 patients with stage 2~3 CKD were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to different treatment methods,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with irbesartan tablets,and the observation group was additionally treated with Bushen Tongluo tang based on the treatment of the control group.Both groups were treated for eight weeks.Before and after treatment,the estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR),exercise endurance and quality of life in the two groups were compared.Results:After treatment,the eGFR levels in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and six-minute walking distance(6 MWD)was increased(P<0.05);the eGFR level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the6 MWD was farther(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of social function,emotional function,bodily pain,physical function,mental health in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment,and the scores of social function,emotional function,bodily pain,physical function,mental health in the obseration group were higher than those in the control group,differences being significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The therapy of Bushen Tongluo tang combined with irbesartan tablets can effectively improve the quality of life,exercise endurance and eGFR level of patients with stage 2~3 CKD.
