The TCM thought that atopic dermatitis in children resulted from congenital inadequacy, excess blood heat and improper habits causing weakness of the lung and spleen, together with undue wind dampness and heat. TCM treated this disease through syndrome differentiation, staging of oral administration and external therapy, paid attention to aftercare, so that it has obtained obvious effect. On the treatment and relapse prevention, TCM is better than the application of Western medicine. Furthermore, it can improve the quality of patients.
