| Abstract: | We studied the nutritional effects of two types of human milk fortifiers for very low birth weight infants. These studies suggest that fortified human milk provides nutritional advantages for very low birth weight infants. However, providing calcium and phosphorus with supplementation is necessary for the improvement of bone density. |
