Synthese und Struktur von 1 H-Benzo[d]pyrido[2,1-b] thiazol-Derivaten

The reaction of dialkyl acetonedicarboxylates and o-aminothiophenol in boiling xylene yields 3-hydroxy-1-oxo-1 H-benzo-[d]pyrido[2,1-b]thiazole (I). The structure of I and its methyl and acetyl derivatives are deduced from their IR-and NMR-spectra.
