Development of exercise interventions for institutionalized frail elders

With the development of aging process in China,the prevalence of frailty in the elderly is increasing,and the incidence of frailty among the elderly living in old-age institutions is higher;If we do not pay attention to the frailty of the elderly and give timely intervention,it will cause serious consequences,threaten the lives of the elderly,and bring heavy burdens to the society.In china,the studies on the frailty elderly mostly focus on the elderly from the community and inpatients,and there is little research on the effect of intervention,however,there is less research on exercise intervention with low intervention cost.This paper introduces frailty status of the elderly in the old-age institutions,and focuses on the research progress of various sports intervention and provide reference for the exercise intervention of the elderly in the old-age institutions.
