Abstract:Objective To understand the correlation between osteoporosis and coronary heart disease and common risk factors in elderly patients in Guiyang urban area. Methods A total of 400 elderly patients with coronary heart disease admitted to outpatient clinics from January 2017 to October 2019 were selected Affiliated Baiyun Hospital of Guizhou Medical University. Questionnaires were used to collect their health conditions. The GE DPX-Bravo dual- energy X-ray bone densitometer was used to detect the bone mineral density of patients. They were divided into the osteoporosis group and the non -osteoporosis group according to bone mineral density results. Single-and multi -factor logistic re-gression analyses were conducted to analyze the risk factors of coronary heart disease complicated with osteoporosis in elderly patients. Results The risk factors for osteoporosis in patients with coronary heart disease included increased age, long-term smoking, increased uric acid, decreased estrogen, increased body mass index, comorbidities of hyperten-sion and hyperlipidemia. Conclusion The prevalence of osteoporosis in the coronary heart disease group is higher than that in the non-coronary heart disease group. Early bone mineral density detection is helpful to screen high-risk popu-lations of coronary heart disease. In the prevention and treatment of elderly osteoporosis and coronary heart disease, it is necessary to provide treatment and protection from many aspects, and strengthen management of diet, behavior, and life.
