Pseudotumoral paraesophageal varices. |

| Abstract: | We report a case of paraesophageal varices presenting as a posterior mediastinal mass in a patient with long-standing portal hypertension. These collaterals were present, despite multiple previous sclerotherapies for submucosal esophageal varices and no endoscopic evidence of their recurrence. |
