Clinical effect of Xuebijing injection on severe pneumonia in children

Objective To explore the clinical effect of Xuebijing injection on severe pneumonia in children.Methods A total of 230 children with severe pneumonia treated in our department from January 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects.The children were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method,with 115 cases in each group.The control group was given routine treatment,and the observation group was given Xuebijing injection on the basis of the routine treatment.The clinical efficacy,inflammatory indexes and T lymphocyte subsets were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 99.13%,which was higher than 93.91%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the hs-CRP,PCT,Lac levels and ESR between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,the hs-CRP,PCT,Lac levels and ESR in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in CD4⁺,CD8⁺and CD4⁺/CD8⁺between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,CD4⁺and CD4⁺/CD8⁺in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,CD8⁺was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Xuebijing injection is effective in the treatment of severe pneumonia in children,which can significantly reduce the inflammatory response and enhance the immune function of children.
