Study on the correlation between postpartum needs,social support and postpartum anxiety of pregnant women

Objective To understand the status of postpartum needs,social support and anxiety of pregnant women,and to analyze the influencing factors of postpartum anxiety.Methods A total of 342 pregnant women with natural childbirth in a third-grade hospital in Xi'an city were selected as the study objects by convenient sampling method.The general data questionnaire,postpartum needs scale of pregnant women,social support rating scale(SSRS)and self rating anxiety scale(SAS)were used to investigate and to analyze the influencing factors of postpartum anxiety and its correlation with postpartum needs and social support of pregnant women.Results In this study,the incidence of postpartum anxiety of pregnant women was 29.53%.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that medical insurance,physiological needs,psychological needs,environment and equipment needs,service needs,subjective support and social support utilization were the important influencing factors of postpartum anxiety of pregnant women(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between postpartum anxiety and postpartum needs of pregnant women(r=0.786,P<0.05),and a significant negatively correlated with social support(r=-0.704,P<0.05).Conclusion The higher postpartum needs degree of pregnant women,the lower social support degree,and the higher incidence of postpartum anxiety.It is of great significance to appropriately meet the postpartum needs,strengthen psychological nursing,encourage the participation of social groups,and provide targeted help and support to pregnant women,so as to promote maternal and infant physical and mental health and family harmony and stability.
