Effect of Bushen Huayu decoction in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome and its influences on the degree of disease activity and BASFI score of patients

Objective To explore the effect of Bushen Huayu decoction in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis(AS)with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome and its influences on the degree of disease activity and Bath ankylosing spondylitis function index(BASFI)score of patients.Methods A total of 86 AS patients with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome received in our hospital from June 2018 to December 2020 were selected for research.According to the treatment scheme,the patients were divided into control group and observation group,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,and the observation group was treated with Bushen Huayu decoction on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index(BASDAI)and BASFI scores were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.35%,which was higher than 79.07%in the control group(P<0.05).At 7,14 and 21 d after treatment,the scores of BASDAI and BASFI in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The Bushen Huayu decoction has a satisfactory effect in the clinical treatment of AS patients with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome,it can effectively improve the degree of disease activity and the functional index of patients,which is worthy of promotion.
