Analysis of abnormal results of routine urine examination in occupational health examination of employees in an iron and steel enterprise in Zhanjiang city

Objective To analyze the abnormal results of routine urine examination in occupational health examination of employees in an iron and steel enterprise in Zhanjiang city,and to explore the related factors of abnormal urine routine examination,so as to provide reference for further prevention and treatment of occupational diseases.Methods The results of occupational health examination of employees in an iron and steel enterprise in Zhanjiang city from 2019 to 2020 were statistically analyzed,and the examination results of employees with abnormal urine routine examination were analyzed to find out the occupational hazard factors and characteristics affecting employees'diseases,and to explore the prevention and control countermeasures.Results From 2019 to 2020,5057 employees of iron and steel enterprise received occupational health examination,the results showed that the results of routine urine examination were abnormal in 1040 employees,including 819 males and 221 females;108 aged 18-20,471 aged 21-30,354 aged 31-40,106 aged 41-50 and 1 aged 51 and over;980 cases had normal blood pressure and 60 cases had abnormal blood pressure;the average length of service was(8.37±2.11)years;379 cases had smoking history,661 cases had no smoking history.Among the employees exposed to high temperature environment,the detection rate of employees with abnormal urine routine examination was the highest,which was 26.04%(256/983);the detection rate of employees exposed to other chemical substances was the second,which was 25.09%(136/542);the latter were noise(23.11%),radioactive material(18.28%),dust(18.22%)and manganese and its compounds(12.97%).Among 1040 employees with abnormal urine routine examination,the employees with abnormal red blood cell count(RBC)was the most,accounting for 40.96%;the employees with abnormal leukocyte count(WBC)was the second,accounting for 37.02%;followed by the employees with abnormal urinary protein(12.02%),abnormal ketone body(5.19%)and abnormal glucose(4.81%).Conclusion Regular occupational health examination should be carried out for employees in iron and steel enterprises.In the process of daily prevention and control of occupational diseases,the prevention and control of occupational risk factors such as high temperature,chemical substances should be strengthened to ensure the health of employees.
