Abstract:	Background Superolateral dislocation is rarely encountered in clinical practice. It is usually associated with fracture of the contralateral mandibular body or zygoma. The occurance of type II superolateral dislocation of the condyle without associated fracture is very rare and only a few cases are reported in literature.
