The plasma testosterone and the skinfolds of eight sites of the body were measured in 127 normal boy adolescents, aged 9-15, and the percentage of body fat (%BF), lean body mass (LBM), total body fat (TBF) were calculated from subscapular and triceps skinfolds. The results showed: with the increasing of plasma testosterone, the changes of distributive pattern of skinfolds, thickners was not uniform and the correlation of testosterone was positive with TBF (r = 0.252 2) and LBM (r = 0.588 7), negative with %BF (r = -0.222 3). |
