Intramural nervous system of the stomach and duodenum after vagotomy

The work has been carried out in 23 dogs and 10 patients by electron-microscopic and histochemical methods. It was shown that after vagotomy the intramural neural system of the stomach and duodenum could considerably recover its structure. The alterations in nerve plexuses were of phasic character.
