Clinical effect of colonoscopy reverse contact argon plasma coagulation in the treatment of ultra-low rectal polyps and its influence on the degree of trauma and recurrence rate

Objective To explore the clinical effect of colonoscopy reverse contact argon plasma coagulation(APC)in the treatment of ultra-low rectal polyps.Methods A total of 100 patients with ultra-low rectal polyps treated from October 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the research objects.The patients were divided into control group and observation group according to different treatment schemes,with 50 cases in each group.The control group received non-contact APC treatment,and the observation group received colonoscopy reverse contact APC treatment.The operation related indexes,degree of trauma indexes,occurrence of complications,recurrence rate and quality of life were compared between the two groups.Results The operation time,postoperative bowel sound recovery time and postoperative hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,the amount of intraoperative bleeding was less than that in the control group,and the number of polyps removed was more than that in the control group(P<0.05).At 7 d after operation,the levels of Cor,CRP and PGE2 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications and recurrence rate in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At six months after operation,the scores of each field of WHOQOL-100 in the two groups were higher than those at 1 d after operation,and those in the observation group were higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The colonoscopy reverse contact APC in the treatment of ultra-low rectal polyps has a remarkable clinical effect.It can not only reduce the degree of surgical trauma,but also reduce the incidence of complications and recurrence rate,and improve the quality of life of patients,which is worth popularizing.
