Firstly, Xu Zhimo's loce affairs, passionately in love with Lin Huiyin or marriage to Lu Xiaoman, reveal no cowardliness at all but his enthusiasm and determination on the matter of personal happiness as an individualism intellectual. Secondly, though Liang Qichao does not agree on the love match, he is only too selfish, circumspect and farseeing to obstruct their combination, as Miao holds. Thirdly, Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin are passionate to each other, and Lin never shifts her love to another person before Xu's death, but Miao thinks in an opposite way. Miao's article, whose analyses are inadequate and partial, shows the tendency of impetuousness in academic circles at present days.
