Blutungen in der Postmenopause

There is no functional bleeding in postmenopausal women. Therefore every postmenopausal bleeding requires an appropriate gynecological investigation. Etiology may include endometrial hyperplasia, cervical cancer, or endometrial malignancy. Even a bleeding under HRT is possible. This review describes the causes of vaginal bleeding and the appropriate diagnostic procedures.
