| Abstract: | Abstract: Objective: To investigate the relationship between apolipoprotein E (ApoE) gene polymorphism and serum lipids in Shenzhen middle-aged male residents (aged 40-65). Method: The ApoE gene polymorphism of 244 subjects was determined by the method of Gene chip. The frequency distributions of ApoE gene and the relationship between ApoE gene polymorphism and serum lipids were also analyzed. Result: we have not found relation between serum lipids and age. Compared with normal group, the hyperlipoproteinemia subjects E2/E2+E2/E3 genotypes frequency decreased .There was significant difference of serum lipid between Subjects with E2/E2+E2/E3 genotypes and Subjects with E3/E3 genotypes. Conclusion: we found relationship between apolipoprotein E Gene polymorphism and serum lipids In Shenzhen middle-aged male residents. |
