Abstract: | ![]() Impairment of gastrointestinal motility is common among patients with chronic dyspepsia. Gastroparesis can lead to devastating clinical consequences including malnutrition, weight loss, metabolic acidosis and psychological dysfunction. In this article, the current concepts of gastric motor function are reviewed and the diagnostic and treatment modalities of gastroparesis are discussed in detail. |
