新农村建设与初级卫生保健

党的十六届五中全会做出了“建设社会主义新农村”的战略决策。按照“生产发展、生活富裕、乡风文明、村容整洁、管理民主”的新农村建设内容,代表农村卫生工作科学发展水平的初级卫生保健与其有着密切关系。诚然,初级卫生保健是新农村建设中卫生工作的重要策略。各级政府和卫生部门应该开拓思路,抓住机遇,与时俱进,推动农村初级卫生保健工作的开展。

Construction of New Socialist Countryside and Primary Health Care

The proposal to promote "Construction of New Socialist Countryside" has been raised strategically at the Fifth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.Primary health care,which represents the developmental level of health service in the rural areas,has a close link with the project with "advanced productivity,well-off of living quality,civilized living style,clean environment and democratic management" as its five general target principles,so primary health care is of primary strategic importance for health service in the construction of new socialist countryside.In their future work,the governments and health departments of various levels should broaden their horizon,seize opportunities,keep pace with the updating times,so as to promote the primary health care in rural areas.
