Clinical effect of endoscopic variceal ligation with sequential sclerosing agent injection in the treatment of cirrhosis and esophageal variceal bleeding

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of endoscopic variceal ligation with sequential sclerosing agent injection(EVLS)in the treatment of cirrhosis and esophageal variceal bleeding.Methods A total of 100 patients with cirrhosis and esophageal variceal bleeding from January 2018 to January 2020 were selected and divided into experimental group(50 cases,EVLS)and control group[50 cases,endoscopic variceal sclerotherapy(EVS)]by computer randomization.The treatment effect,the occurrence of complications,the success rate of hemostasis,the rate of rebleeding and the rate of disease recurrence were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was 96.00%,which was significantly higher than 80.00% in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of complications and the success rate of hemostasis between the two groups(P>0.05).The rates of rebleeding and disease recurrence of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion EVLS in the treatment of cirrhosis and esophageal variceal bleeding has a significant clinical effect,it can not only ensure a higher success rate of hemostasis,improve the treatment effect of variceal bleeding,reduce the rebleeding rate and disease recurrence rate,but also has high safety,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
