Abstract: | The occurrence of familial medullary carcinoma in the thyroid is a well-known entity, but cases of familial papillary carcinoma have been rarely reported. A case of thyroid papillary carcinoma which occurred almost synchronously in a mother and her two daughters is presented. No significant difference between familial and nonfamilial papillary carcinoma was noted in clinical, histopathological and chemical findings. The pedigree of our case is considered to show autosomal dominant inheritance. |
