Abstract:
Diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)is an end-stage complication of diabetes mellitus(DM),and is the main form of DM neuropathy.Clinically,it is characterized by high incidence rate and high disability rate,which seriously endangers the life and health of patients.Studies have shown that there are a large number of Schwann cells and neuronal apoptosis in the peripheral nervous system of DPN,but the specific pathogenesis remains to be expanded.As the power source and metabolic center,mitochondria plays a key role in the regulation of apoptosis,and the regulation of its pathways and related signaling pathways can prevent and treat DPN.This article reviews the relationship between mitochondrial apoptosis pathway and its related regulatory pathways and DPN,in order to provide some references for further discussion of the pathological mechanism of DPN.
