Patient oriented tracing methods which emerged in international hospital appraisal in current years was introduced to appraise nosocomial infection management.The basic principle and characters of tracing method,tracing content in nosocomial infection,tracing appraisal on standard operation process of nosocomial infection and its index system and the meanings of appraising nosocomial infection management by tracing method were introduced and discussed.
