英国针灸教育发展概况

针灸于20世纪60年代起开始在英国传播。由于历史原因,早期的针灸培训主要包括培训专职针灸师和培训西医师兼做针灸。这一时期的办学是无序的,针灸学校也是自生自灭。至20世纪90年代后,英国一些正规大学开始办针灸与中医药专业,教授真正的大陆针灸与中医。同时,又有大批的中国大陆中医师来到英国,受雇于中医诊所。一些认证机构相继成立,认证机构负责制定针灸与中医药教学培养标准。认证委员会的成立为政府着手立法管理针灸和中医药提供了专业教学的人才培养的标准。

Overview of acupuncture and moxibustion education in Britain

Acupuncture began to gain popularities in the United Kingdom in 1960s. Due to historical reasons, the main routine channels for training included full-time and part-time training. There was lack of training standard and no curriculum. It was until 1990s, UK uni-versities began to involve acupuncture and TCM training. At the same period, a large number of mainland China trained medical profes-sionals and academics came to UK, and actively involved acupuncture and TCM practice and training. Accreditations agencies estab-lished which set up acupuncture and TCMtraining standards and curriculum. The establishment of accreditation agencies will benefit UK government to regulate and legislate acupuncture and TCMprofessions.
