Clinical observation on treating 80 cases of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion of the Hanshi Bizu type by the Huolong pot comprehensive moxibustion

Objective:To observe the curative effect of the Huolong pot comprehensive moxibustion(火龙罐综合灸)on lumbar disc herniation of the Hanshi Bizu type(寒湿痹阻型).Methods:80 cases were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,40 cases in each.Both groups took Duhuo Jisheng Wan(独活寄生丸).In addition to this,the observation group was treated by conventional treament plus the Huolong pot comprehensive moxibustion.The control group was treated by conventional treatment plus moxibustion.7 days was a course of treatment.Results:After treatment,the JOA score in the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05),and the VAS score was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The total efficiency in the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).TNF-α,CRP,IL-1βand other inflammatory factors in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The Huolong pot comprehensive moxibustion is effective on lumbar disc herniation,can reduce the level of inflammatory factors,and is worthy of promotion.
