Abstract:
Objective :To establish an HPLC method for determination of related substance p-aminophenol in Paracetamol and Caffeine Tablets. Methods:The analytical column was Diamonsil C18 (4. 6 mm × 200 mm, 5 μm) ; The mobile phase A was 0. 05 mol·L^-1 ammonium acetate solution, and the mobile phase B was methanol, using gradient elution ; The detective wavelength was 232 nm. Results:Under this condition, there was a good linear relationship for p-aminophenol in the concentration range of 5 - 15 mg·L^-1 , r = 0. 999 7. The detection limit was 4. 2 × 10^-4 μg (S/N =3). The average recovery was 100. 1% and RSD =0. 42%. Conclusion:The proposed method enables accurate, sensitive, rapid analysis for p-aminophenol in Paraeetamol and Caffeine Tablets.
