Familial chronic pancreatitis associated with pancreatic lithiasis |

| Abstract: | Three members of one family who had pancreatic lithiasis are reported on. Pancreatic lithiasis in each patient was confirmed at operation and was favorably treated by side to side pancreaticojejunostomy. The symptoms and the histologic features of the pancreas in these patients were similar to those of the usual form of chronic pancreatitis, but the mechanism of occurrence of the disease on a familial basis could not be identified. |
