Abstract:	A child with acute leukemia in an apparent hematologic remission whosuccumbed to the complications arising from extensive leukemic infiltrationof the gastrointestinal tract is reported. This cannot be explained by any unique anatomical properties of the circulation, such as have been proposed for central nervous system infiltration undersimilar circumstances.
